Subsistence allowance to bankrupt
Subject to any general or special directions which the court may give, the trustee,
while in the possession of the property of a bankrupt, may make him such allowance out
of his property for the support of himself and his family as may be just. In fixing the
amount of such allowance, the assistance rendered by the bankrupt in the management of
his business or affairs may be taken into account.
