Import and Export Ordinance

(1)
Subject to the Import and Export (General) Regulations (
Cap. 60 sub. leg. A
), no person shall import any article specified in
Schedule 1
to those regulations except under and in accordance with an import licence issued under
section 3
.
(2)
Any person who contravenes subsection (1) in respect of any article specified in
Part 1 of Schedule 1
to the Import and Export (General) Regulations (
Cap. 60 sub. leg. A
) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of $500,000 and to imprisonment for 2 years.
(3)
Any person who contravenes subsection (1) in respect of any article specified in
Part 2 of Schedule 1
to the Import and Export (General) Regulations (
Cap. 60 sub. leg. A
) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be
liable—
(a)
on summary conviction to a fine of $500,000 and to imprisonment for 2 years;
(b)
on conviction on indictment to a fine of $2,000,000 and to imprisonment for 7 years.
