Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance

(1)
The Legislative Council may, by resolution, amend an Ordinance so as to
increase—
(a)
the amount of a fine specified in the Ordinance; and
(b)
the amount of a fine specified in the Ordinance as an amount that may be prescribed in subsidiary legislation made under the Ordinance.

The increase under subsection (1) may be expressed as an amount of money or as a level in
Schedule 8
to the Criminal Procedure Ordinance (
Cap. 221
).

(2)
A resolution under this section may contain such incidental, consequential and supplemental provisions as may be necessary or expedient for the purpose of giving full effect to the resolution.
