Landlord and Tenant (Consolidation) Ordinance

(1)
A tenant of a regulated tenancy for a subdivided unit
may—
(a)
without limiting any rights of the tenant to terminate the tenancy by
                    notice under the tenancy; and
(b)
by giving the landlord prior notice in writing (
termination
                            notice
),
terminate the tenancy before the expiry of the term, and the tenancy is to be
                terminated on the date specified in the termination notice (
date of
                        termination
).
(2)
A termination
notice—
(a)
may be given at any time during the term of the tenancy; but
(b)
must not be given less than 30 days before the date of
                    termination.
(3)
However, the date of termination must not be a date earlier than the last day
                of the first year of the term.
(4)
The tenant must, on or before the date of
termination—
(a)
deliver vacant possession of the subdivided unit to the landlord;
                    and
(b)
settle all outstanding money payable to the landlord under the
                    tenancy.
