(a)
as amended by the Landlord and Tenant (Consolidation) (Amendment) Ordinance
                    2002 (
32 of 2002
) shall apply in the case of a
                    landlord who opposes, in accordance with
rule 69
of the Lands
                    Tribunal Rules (
Cap. 17 sub. leg. A
), the grant of
                    a new tenancy on or after the
                        commencement

of
section
                        18(c)
of that Ordinance;
(b)
as in force before that commencement shall apply in the case of a landlord
                    who so opposes the grant of a new tenancy before that
                    commencement.
