(Summary Assessment of Costs)

1.  On 2 May 2024, this court handed down a Judgment dismissing the Petitioner (“F”)’s appeal against Master’s case management directions. In the Judgment, costs were also ordered against F to be summarily assessed, of which I now do.

2.  In her statement of costs, the Respondent (“M”) claims costs in the sum of HK$103,000 (including counsel fees of HK$20,000), but F objects and proposes a sum of HK$21,837.

3.  After considering M’s statement of costs and F’s objections, I now summarily assess M’s costs at HK$60,000, payable by F forthwith.
