1.  Having heard the submissions made on behalf of the Plaintiff by Mr Ho, having reviewed the pleadings and the evidence and the Defendants having failed to appear today at the trial of this action, I am satisfied that the Plaintiff has proved its case.

2.  There is no substance at all in the purported Defences relied upon by the Defendants. There is in fact no evidence adduced by the Defendants in their witness statements in relation to their purported defence of their inability to understand the contents or the signing or the purpose of the Guarantees. And there is no evidence at all to support the claim of misrepresentation.

3.  I therefore enter judgment in favour of the Plaintiff for the relief set out in the Statement of Claim in the sums claimed, with interest and costs.
