(Summary Assessment of Costs)

1.  On 12 December 2024, this court handed down a Judgment dismissing the Respondent (“W”)’s appeal against Master’s order dated 15 December 2023.  In the Judgment, costs were also ordered against W to be summarily assessed, of which I now do.

2.  In his statement of costs, the Petitioner (“H”)  claims costs in the sum of HK$95,896 (including counsel fees of HK$43,000).  W lodged her list of objections and proposed HK$29,406 (inclusive of counsel fees HK$11,580).

3.  After considering H’s statement of costs and W’s objections, I now summarily assess H’s costs at HK$80,000, payable by W forthwith.
